Tired Tired Tired....

Today is a real tiring day.. it's been a long time since I walk so long.... Going to have cramps tonitez.. lzy to go for work tml, ask Bro to replace me..

Woke up at 8.30am, meet up with the amazing race committee (Mainly Chiron Club members and only 1 Events IG [Me], some couldn't turn up) @ 10am in Chiron room..

Attendance: Su Li, Olivia, Chris, Jasper, Ali & Rozlan (sry if I have missed spell any names..)

The gals were the "participants" while the guys rotate to be the "tour guide & game master of each stations"...

Our first station was: Admiralty Park, a place that is familiar to all Republican but yet so mystery for people who have yet take a walk in it.. There is a total of 3 bridges there, and it's a mangroves forest.. the first task was to locate the bridge, we had a hard time finding since for most of us, its the first time there and the game master purposely set it at the furthest and isolated bridge.. and to get the next clue, we had to guess how many plankes there is on the bridge.. Guess!!! Answer: 228.. (I doubts no one will pay much attention to the plankes when they walk past after such a long walk, when we walk out to the road, we were like at the end of the industry...) by the time we walk out its already 1120am, took us about an hour at the station..

Next station: Singapore Zoo.. travel by Bus no. 927 from Chua Chu Kang (missed 1 bus when we juz reached so had to wait for another 20min.. in the meanwhile, we all went to get a burger from mac, a quick breakfast while waiting).. it was a quick stop at the zoo, since the staion is juz at the enterance... the bus ride is about 20min, so by the time we leave zoo is around 1220pm...

Third Station: Bird Park but we skipped the sation since we are lack of time so we took Bus no. 131 from Zoo to AMK, change to MRT to head toward Paya Lebar, then change to either 43 or 76 to Marine Parade. Our Fourth Station is at East Coast Park.

Fourth Station: East Coast Park.... Walk through the under tunnel which we usually see when driving cross ECP but its mine first time walking through, it short but kind of scary if walk alone at night. We were able to locate the game master very fast since we were given a very big hint..

After that, we had our lunch at a Mac near to Parkwat Parade, before heading to ur next station, by then was but 230 - 300pm.. All were tired after such a long day... So we decide to make a quick round up, seleced either one of the reamining stations to head next then home sweet home.. Selected: Singpaore Botanic Garden.. Left: Macritchie Reservoir..

And you know waht? when we took a bus back to Paya Lebar, we alighted at a wrong stop and got to walk on the road.. damm dangerous and scary, if you drop down from the step and happens a car come by, you will be DEAD....

Last Station: Singpaore Botanic Garden (but actually is the second last, still have one more after it)... Located: Juz beside British Council, so we had to head back to Tiong Baruh, take a Bus. 123.. It's my first time there, but when we were there, we had to play a mini "amazing race" again, to locate some station but we were smart, we took a picture of the map using our phones and refer to it as and when we need..

(The front gate & Swan Pound)

Our last stage of the mini amazing race in the Botanic Garden brings us to the hut behind the SHAWN FOUNDATION SYMPHONY STAGE, a nice place to collaborate the environmental scenery with music...

(and we found this cute little tortoise trying it best to climb up the "hole" to join the rest of the tortoise, make a few attempts before success..)

And these end off out day... by then it was like 6.30pm.. I took a Bus no. 7 from there to Lucky Plaza, then walk to Hereen, to take Bus. no. 77 to Raffles City and change to take Bus no. 579 ($3.30) back home.. By the time I reach home is 8.30pm... It's has been awhile since I spend such a long day out especially for school event.. Really pray hard for the sucess of this event though this is the real one time that I really involved, have missed 2 meeting so far..

***Good luck for Jasper, he got a chance to go to Germany for a week, flying off tonitez, though have to miss 5 days school (school reopen this coming monday, 3 Nov), back on 8 Nov but will also miss the amazing race dry run on 8 Nov..

Only 3 student (1 frm RP and toher 2 are from JC), to represent Singapore for this Bayer Events, it an environemtnal Event.. The trip is fully sponored, heard the to & fro flight is already $4000+....

Really a rare and valueable experience, to go for an excahnge escpcially is something that one is interested in and is currently studying, definitly a benefits to not only the resume but also self....
